FSGA Expands Public Access to Industry Research

FSGA Expands Public Access to Industry Research

For more than 15 years, the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association (FSGA) has invested in research to better understand the people, behaviors, trends, and forces shaping fantasy sports and the broader sports gaming industry.

As FSGA continues to expand its role as a source of industry intelligence, the Association is also expanding access to the research it has produced over the years.

Under FSGA’s research access model, members receive new research as part of their membership for three years, beginning with an exclusive 90-day member-only period. After the first 90 days, current research is also available for purchase by nonmembers.

Once research is more than three years old, FSGA makes it publicly available through the FSGA Public Research Library.

“Research has long been one of the most important ways FSGA contributes to the industry,” said Dan Haight, Chair of the Awards and Research Committee and Chief Operating Officer at Stokastic. “There is tremendous value not only in understanding what is happening in the market today, but also in being able to look back and understand how participation, consumer behavior and the broader sports gaming ecosystem have evolved. Making our historical research more accessible allows that work to continue providing value well beyond its original publication.”

The Public Research Library brings together more than a decade of FSGA research examining fantasy sports and sports gaming participation, demographics, consumer behavior, technology, market trends and other developments that have shaped the industry.

FSGA will continue investing in new research focused on the issues affecting the industry today and those beginning to emerge on the horizon. Recent studies have explored topics including sports betting, artificial intelligence, prediction markets, responsible gaming, advertising sentiment and the next generation of fantasy sports participants.

Historical research reflects the market and consumer environment at the time it was conducted, and resources in the Public Research Library are clearly dated to help users distinguish historical findings from current industry data.
