Chair's Message - November 2025
Dear FSGA Members,
As we approach the end of the year, I’m inspired by the continued collaboration and energy across our growing community. With now over 200 FSGA member businesses, we continue to create authentic connections across verticals to move our industry forward, and most importantly, to help you make your goals and initiatives a reality.
Building on that spirit of connection, if you haven’t tuned in yet, our latest episode of the FSGA Spotlight Podcast - Coopetition Over Competition: Why This Industry Actually Cares - features Justin Schoenfelder, who introduces us to the concept of "coopetition," a perfect word that captures the unique blend of competition and cooperation that defines the FSGA community.
Looking ahead, our 2025 FSGA Website Redesign Task Force continues to make progress. The team is currently reimagining the website’s sitemap to make content more discoverable and ensure members can access actionable insights within just two clicks. We’re on track to showcase the new website at the Winter Conference, and I think you’ll love what’s coming.
Speaking of the 2026 FSGA Winter Conference, now is the perfect time to register, if you haven’t already. Early bird pricing expires December 15, so don’t miss your chance to lock in the lowest registration rate. Impactful sessions are already posted online, and we’ll be announcing speakers over the coming weeks. Please be sure to use our Circa Las Vegas booking link to reserve your housing. Staying at the host hotel is truly where the networking and late-night conversations happen.
And while you’re planning ahead, mark your calendars for the 2026 FSGA Summer Conference, as I’m excited to announce we will be headed to Philadelphia, July 8-9, 2026, at The Logan Philadelphia, Curio Collection by Hilton. More information will be shared in the coming months.
Finally, a final reminder that we need additional members to share their audit experiences regarding Section 4401 excise tax on wagers to fantasy sports with our counsel, Miller & Chevalier. These real-world insights are vital as the firm prepares to represent the FSGA’s interests before the IRS to secure favorable guidance. Your participation could make all the difference to the future of our industry - so if you’ve been contacted or audited in connection with this issue, please reach out.
Together, we’ve made tremendous strides in shaping the future of fantasy sports and gaming this year. And as we near the end of the year, please don’t let your membership benefits expire! Renew today, as we need you beside us as the work ahead is just as important as what we’ve already accomplished.
Warm regards,
Brandon Loeschner
