Chair's Message - June 2025
Dear FSGA Members,
Summer is here! I find myself spending time reflecting a lot during the summer – might be the long road trips to the summer camping spot or the long, lonely paddles training for and competing in the MR340 – and I cannot help but notice the momentum we’ve been building as an industry and as an association. Here are several exciting things I have been reflecting on so far this summer:
I – Building our Brand
Last month’s SBC Summit Americas event in Fort Lauderdale was a fantastic opportunity to connect with many of our members. From the FSGA-produced sessions to our booth on the exhibition hall floor to our FSGA Member Meetup, it was a busy and energizing few days. A huge thank you to CBS Sports Digital and Underdog Fantasy for sponsoring the meetup and helping create such a memorable experience.
If you weren’t able to attend – or if you want to revisit the insights – we’re happy to share that the State of Fantasy Sports presentation slides are now available exclusively to members. Click here to view the slides. (FSGA sign-in is required.)
II – Bringing the FSGA Community Together
We hope to see you at both the Fantasy Football Expo (August – Canton, OH) and G2E (October – Las Vegas, NV). Stay tuned for details about FSGA Member Meetups at those events – and, in the meantime, you can click here to see all upcoming FSGA industry events and start planning ahead.
III – Full and Engaged Board
I wanted to share an update from the Board of Directors. Please join us in welcoming Brian Huss (PrizePicks) to the FSGA Board. Brian is filling a vacancy left earlier this year and will serve through March 31, 2027. His experience and industry perspective are already proving to be valuable additions to the board, and we’re excited to have him take an even more active role with the association.
IV – Chicago Baby!
Now, the big one: the 2025 FSGA Summer Conference is just around the corner – the two-week countdown is on! If you haven’t already done so, now’s the time to register and secure your spot. We’ll be at the Westin Chicago River North, June 30 – July 1, for two packed days of expert panels, networking opportunities, and deep dives into the latest trends shaping fantasy sports and gaming.
And if you missed the buzz last week, our press release announcing our Ask Me Anything (AMA) session is officially out. We’re thrilled to welcome Evan Silva, Taylor Caby, and John Daigle of Establish the Run to the stage for what promises to be one of the most engaging and insightful sessions of the conference. Come ready with your questions and curiosity – this is one you won’t want to miss. Read the full announcement here. Previously, we announced that industry icons Kay Adams and Nate Ravitz would be headlining our Fireside Chat. And be sure to check out our full agenda (also see below) filled with informative panels and expert speakers.
V – Sports Gaming Rules and Regulation
Now more than ever, strict adherence to compliance standards is not optional – it's essential to protect our operations and uphold the integrity of the industry. We must remain vigilant in monitoring all rules, regulations, and enforcement actions impacting both regulated and unregulated sports gaming (same can be said for iGaming), because one misstep can bring unintended consequences to our entire community.
We should endeavor to work together through this dynamic time - because we can go further together than alone!
As always, thank you for being part of this dynamic community. Your engagement, ideas, and energy are what make FSGA such a vibrant and valuable network.
We hope to see you in Chicago in just 2 weeks!
Best regards,
Brandon Loeschner
Chair, FSGA Board of Directors
