Chair's Message - July 2025
Dear FSGA Members,
What an incredible summer it’s been for our association!
Earlier this month, we gathered in Chicago for our 2025 Summer Conference – and I think I speak for many of you when I say it was one of the best in recent memory. The energy was high, the conversations impactful, and the programming insightful.
From panels on media trends and emerging technologies to spirited discussions on regulation, innovation, and engagement, the sessions sparked the kind of dialogue and debate that make FSGA events so valuable. We were also thrilled to see the strength of our industry reflected in the record summer attendance – our highest in six years – and in the robust support of our sponsors. Thank you once again to all our partners that made the event possible. Your continued investment is vital to our shared success.
A special thank you goes to Rick Wolf and Katie Richcreek, who served as Co-Chairs of the 2025 Conference Committee. Their leadership, creativity, and countless hours of planning helped shape an exceptional experience from start to finish. We’re incredibly grateful for their dedication and contributions.
During the Summer Conference, we also had the pleasure of introducing Stefan Bradham, CAE, CDE, as FSGA’s new Executive Director. Stefan brings with him a passion for member-driven leadership and a strong background in marketing and association growth. If you didn’t have a chance to meet him in Chicago, we hope you’ll connect with him in the coming months or at one of our upcoming events. The future of FSGA is in great hands, and the Board is excited to support Stefan in this next chapter.
Next up on our calendar is a community favorite – the Fantasy Football Expo in Canton, OH! We’re excited to host a member meetup where you can connect, network, and kick things off in a more casual setting.
Event Details:
- Location: The Canton Club Vault
- Date: Friday, August 8
- Time: 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. ET
Let us know if you’ll be there by submitting your RSVP here!
A big thank you to CBS Sports Digital and Underdog Fantasy for sponsoring this gathering. These informal events are where some of the best connections and ideas come to life—we hope to see many of you there!
Looking ahead, we’re excited to officially announce that the 2026 Winter Conference will take place at Circa Resort in Las Vegas on February 17–18. The Circa offers a vibrant, high-energy setting in the heart of downtown Vegas, and we can’t wait to return to Circa for what’s sure to be another unforgettable event. Mark your calendars now – more details, including hotel blocks and registration, will be shared later this year.
It’s FSGA Experts Week on SiriusXM, and I’m excited to share that over 150 experts from 115 FSGA member companies are participating in this year’s drafts. There are eight drafts taking place this week, in addition to the one held during the Summer Conference in Chicago. Draft formats include Fantasy Football PPR Leagues, Best Ball, Elimination Fantasy Football (guillotine format), and Futures/Prop Bets. A special thank you to Fantrax, RT Sports, SiriusXM, TrophySmack, and Yahoo for their continued support of the FSGA Experts League Drafts throughout the year.
Next up are fantasy experts drafts for college football, hockey (NHL), and basketball (NBA). If you are interested in participating in any of these leagues, reach out to Digger Turnbull.
Lastly, in case you missed it, on July 3, the FSGA weighed in on the California Attorney General’s misguided DFS opinion. You can read the full statement here. Needless to say, we strongly disagree with the AG’s position and reiterate that all paid fantasy sports contests are legal games of skill under California law. We ask that our member companies let their customers know to contact their California legislators to let them know that their ability to play paid fantasy sports contests is now in serious jeopardy. We will work to keep everyone informed on developments in California resulting from the opinion in the FSGA Slack channel and through the Government Affairs committee.
As always, thank you for your continued engagement, your ideas, and your commitment to growing the future of fantasy sports and gaming. It’s your enthusiasm that drives everything we do. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, Stefan, or any Board member with feedback, suggestions, or questions.
Warm regards,
Brandon Loeschner
Chair, FSGA Board of Directors
